Day 25- 3/07/07

Today, Dr. Jay Harriman will be teaching us how to use iMovie. We will be meeting in room 233 instead of 616. Room 233 is a Mac lab and is directly across from the OIT office.

On Friday, I expect you to turn in a storyboard regarding your iMovie. Here is a link to a site that will help you create a storyboard. It is from a WebQuest activity.

A storyboard is a visual map of your movie. It helps your team see what the movie is going to look like, how it will be shot, what actions are going to take place, and what audio is needed. Your storyboard helps you visualize your movie before you start shooting and will serve as your guide during the production process.

Getting ready to film:
Make sure you have recharged your camera. It can take three hours to get it fully charged.
In addition, make sure each team member knows when and where you will meet to film your movie. Make sure each member knows what role they will play in the film. I will hand out the film for your cameras.

If you have time, feel free to complete as much of your WebQuest as possible.

iMovie Schedule:

Monday, March 19th is set aside for you to create your film shots. Therefore it is a workday. Wednesday, March 21st and Friday the 23rd are scheduled for film editing. I will take attendance on the 21st and the 23rd.

Monday, March 26 you will present your movie to the class. Peer review forms will be provided. In order to receive credit for your submission it must meet the requirements outlined in the iMovie rubric. The movie must have a title shot and end of movie credits.
