Remember that I can't see your web page if it is not published and linked to the "Introduction/Home" page.
Today we will work on creating print screen shots and adding them to our Productivity Tools Page.
Creating Screen Shots for your webpage in Google Pages
Changed!!!
Directions to creating print screen images are now available on http://afzedit2000.googlepages.com/creatingaprintscreen and have been modified as highlighted below for mac users.
PC Directions:
Open the file or webpage you want to use in a screenshot (the home page of your PowerPoint game, the iMovie example from a website, etc.)
On your keyboard, press the “Alt” key and the “Prt Scrn” at the same time. This will copy the image to the clipboard.
Open PowerPoint (there are other programs you can use, but PowerPoint seems to work well).
Create a new show with a blank slide
Right-click on the blank slide and choose “paste”
Click once on the image that is pasted on the slide so that you can access the picture formatting toolbar.
Use the crop tool (the 2 intertwined L’s) to get rid of any unnecessary parts of your image.
Right-click on the image and choose “save as picture”.
Important: save it as a .gif or a jpg.
Then save the picture to your key drive or the desktop of your computer.
Insert the picture using the same steps as you have used to insert other pictures on Google Pages.
Macintosh Directions:
Open the file or webpage you want to use in a screenshot (the home page of your PowerPoint game, the iMovie example from a website, etc.)
Hold down the “Ctrl”, “Shift”, and “4” keys at the same time. IMPORTANT! Change "Ctrl" to Command (the apple key)!
You will see small cross-hairs appear on the desktop. Drag a box around the part of the image you want to use by clicking the right mouse button.
When you release the right mouse button a new image will be saved automatically to your desktop. It will most likely be called “picture 1”.
Save image on your flash drive as a .gif or .jpg
Insert the picture using the same steps as you have used to insert other pictures on Google Pages.
